If you already play either guitar or harmonica and are keen to multitask in the way of Bob, Neil et al, Backyard Music can really help you out. We will take you through the various stages to get your brain, fingers & mouth operating simultaneously.

Abslolute beginners and beyond, Backyard Music will work to everyone’s strengths and weaknesses.

What age?

Students past and present have ranged from 7 - 67 years old

Backyard Music provides a very easy going, open minded and patient approach.

What guitar / harmonica?

If your guitar is in tune and has 6 or 12 strings, that’s good enough for me.

I teach the 10 hole diatonic harmonica (the one with 10 holes and no button on the side).  You can use a harmonica of any key, but I prefer to work in the key of C.

You will need a ‘neck brace’ or ‘rack’.
